Day 17 - Never Forsaken

God is forever Faithful, even when we don't feel Him right beside us. His Love and Protection are constants in our lives. You can depend on them.

He promises to NEVER forsake us.
Never means NOT EVER.

In the times when God seems far away, we must remember His promises. Too often circumstances can and do overshadow them and loom larger than our security in Him. Once this happens, our minds explore all the endless possible senarios and their devastating consequenes. This leads to fear, discouragement, and ultimately despair and hopelessness. Our response is: I give up!! I'm all alone. It's too hard.

We aren't meant to handle life's problems alone. They WILL overwhelm us if we try to deal with them in our own strength. We NEED God's help.

I waited patiently for the LORD; He turned to me and heard my cry. Psalm 40:1

He will ALWAYS hear our cry (the cries of His children). He does answer - though it may not be in the way we hoped or expected. We must trust His answer - trust His provision for our time of need.

I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 NIV

It is stated even stronger in the Amplified Bible:

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

HE gives us ALL we need to face every cicumstance of life. Our part? Seek His answers and Trust Him to give us the strength to accomplish it.

Missed you at Church today...Wayne said you have been VERY ill because of a "bad" avocado. (I adore avocado's, by the way!) I bet you will not be craving one for a long, long time!!! I hope that you are feeling better now (Sunday evening).
Love,
Holly
